School Completion Programme

The School Completion Programme

The School Completion Programme is an initiative of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and the Department of Education and Skills.

School Completion Programmes are part of the Tusla Education Support Service, under Tusla, and work collaboratively with Educational Welfare Officers and Home School Community Liaison Coordinators to advise and support families in relation to school attendance. All three strands share the same national objectives: improved attendance, improved participation and improved retention.

School Completion Programmes aim to retain the young person to completion of their Leaving Certificate, equivalent qualification or suitable level of educational attainment which enables their transition to further education, training or employment.
