Galway and Roscommon ETB’s vision is to actively lead the provision of high-quality education and training programmes and services that respond to the changing needs of learners and society.
To realise this vision, we will:
Cultivate a Culture of Quality by
- Developing a culture of quality and ensuring that our learners receive a quality assured experience.
- Encourage everyone involved in GRETB to prioritise high-quality education and training.
Promote and listen to our learner voice to ensure
- Programmes are effective and provide valuable learning experiences.
- We value learners by reviewing their feedback and facilitating necessary changes to assure a positive learning environment for all.
Support QA Governance Groups
- By supporting and providing oversight of quality assurance processes throughout GRETB.
Assist with QQI Authentication, Results Approval and Appeals
- Support centres through Internal Verification, External Authentication and capture good practice in results approval process, ensuring that students’ achievements are correctly recognised and verified.
Facilitate Programme Development and Validation
- Support centres in the design and approval of new programmes to make sure they meet quality standards.
Develop QA Policies and Procedures
- Create clear QA policies and procedures that facilitate excellent quality of learning in our education and training programmes in line with the requirements of all QQI’s Guidelines.
- Our development of comprehensive common quality assurance policies and procedures for Further Education and Training (FET) is an on-going project. As new common policies and procedures are developed and approved by the appropriate governance structures, they will be published below.
